Where the Creek Lies Still

On a still early morning, the rising tide lay like glass, and the world doubled itself in the water — hillside, sky and the quiet village all held perfectly still. The journey up Bow Creek is one of our most beloved stretches of the River Dart: a meandering channel between soft, quiet hillsides, where cattle wander down to graze at the water's edge, and the delightful village of Tuckenhay waits at the end. On a morning like this, it is hard to imagine anywhere more perfect. This image, "Where the Creek Lies Still", was captured at Tuckenhay, on the River Dart, Devon. Made by us in our gallery. Each print is hand-finished on archival materials chosen to last.
