Waiting His Turn

On the eve of Thingyan, with the whole town at an excited fever pitch for the water festival the next day, this young boy watched us photographing someone ahead of him — and quietly took his place in line to wait his turn. When it came, he gave it everything, posing with all his heart, and beamed when we showed him the photo on the back of the camera. Then he wanted us to photograph the woman beside him too. The warmth of the people of Hpa-An is something we will never forget. This image, "Waiting His Turn", was captured in Hpa-An, Myanmar. Made by us in our gallery.
